Aging Matters in Brevard provides 5 basic services for family caregivers including: 1) Information to caregivers about available services and resources; 2) Assistance to caregivers in gaining access to supportive services; 3) Support groups and caregiver training to help caregivers make decisions and solve problems related to their caregiving roles; 4) Respite care to provide temporary relief to caregivers from their caregiving responsibilities; and 5) Consumable supplies such as medical equipment and medical supplies.
The Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation offers family care planning, Alzheimer's disease education and training, support groups, counseling, respite, adult day care, virtual dementia tours, free memory screening, and transportation. A Caregiver Cafe' is offered four times per year.
Provides financial assistance for rent in an emergency, normally no more than one time per year. Identification and documentation of need, such as eviction, are required. Assistance depends on funding availability.

This program can assist customers in paying their home energy expenses. There are three categories of assistance: 1) home energy assistance; 2) crisis assistance; 3) weather related or supply shortage energy crisis assistance. Each category has unique requirements.

This model community is designed to empower residents with social, educational and meaningful employment opportunities that enable independence and inclusion in a safe and uplifting community.

The Food Assistance Program helps low-income individuals purchase healthy food. To receive food assistance benefits, individuals must pass all eligibility requirements.
